Is a military school or boot camp a good option for preparing for a military career?

SIMS 2! Can I get my teen to skip school and instead opt for homescooling via gaining skill points and study?

Without them getting sent to military school? Also, if I let them skip and don't let them study at home with the aging off are they still going to get sent to military school when their grades drop?
